CHRISTIAN

To you who are a Christian

You have accepted Christ and you know the joy that comes with knowing Him. Somewhere in your walk you may have been hurt or let down by other Christians or even your local church.

You may have even developed a 'wandering system' of church attendance.

We offer you new hope to stay committed and worship Christ in fullness.

Thinking Man

BACKSLIDER

To you the Backslider

You have drifted away from God like the Prodigal Son. You may even have some reservations about rejoining the flock.

Deep down, however, you want to find your way back home.

Come home!

We want to help you re-establish your relationship with Christ.

UNDECIDED

To you who have not made a commitment to Christ

You are yet in your sin. God forgives through Christ. It isn't too late to ask for forgiveness.

By this you will become His child and receive all of His benefits.

Come!

There is a place for you at the Scarborough Church of God.

There is hope

Friend,

Thank you for exploring our page.  As you navigate this site you will get a better understanding of who we are within the body of Christ.

A very short FYI:

Scarborough Church of God is a Pentecostal affiliate of the Church of God.  Our Head office is in Tennessee, United States of America.  With a membership of just over 7 million, we are one of 36,000 churches operating in over 178 countries.  Within Canada, we are one of 148 churches and within Ontario we are one of 73 churches.

We are modest in our attire to Sunday services.  During weekday sessions such as Bible studies, Youth Fellowship, Choir practices etc., our attire is a little more casual. If you have questions regarding appropriate attire you may call our church office.

In the mean time, keep exploring to learn more about us.

Our baptisms are special

We get excited when people accept Christ. We are overjoyed when they take the step to baptize. Our baptisms are by water immersion.

We are missions minded

The Lord loves a cheerful giver and so do we. Giving allows us to reach out to our communities in need.

Our ministers serve  the people of God in many capacities

They are responsible to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Order My Steps

Dr. Basil A. Miller is a visionary.  A dance ministry was birthed under his ministry back in  April1997 and lead by Sis. Stacey-Ann Vassell.  The dance group was known as the Symphonic Dancers, a name created by Sis. Carol Blake.

Stacey-Ann Vassell continued in that path as artistic director at the Elite Dance and Company on October 4, 2000 and EDIFY [Elite Dance Initiative for Youth] on March 25, 2014.  A natural progression lead to the creation of Praise Him Dance Festival which is celebrated annually since 2015 to showcase dance ministries from various denominations.

Since 2001, the Basil A. Miller Award of Excellence, our highest dance honour is given to our top dance student.  In 2013 we added the Isaiah Parkinson Award of Perseverance which is given to the student who despite challenges remained committed while having a positive outlook toward dance just like the late Bishop Isaiah Parkinson.
